Bangerrrrr.

For those of you unfamiliar with music talk so to speak, a "banger" is a song that you find to be absolutely amazing or just out of this world.  We wouldn't refer to a country song by Rascal Flatts to be a banger because of its genre (don't get me wrong, I am addicted to Rascal Flatts), but think of a great party/driving/pre-game song that everyone knows and screams while raising their glasses of champy.

I present to you, my newest favorite BANGER.  Brendan remixed this song, so he definitely deserves all the credit for when it goes viral.  Let me put it to you lightly, he is a monster with music--not only with discovering the hottest up and coming artists (which most people learn of months later from the radio), but he also makes great beats.

Please do you and your ears a favor.  Click, Download, Blast.

He even made some album art for your itunes, ipod, ipad or whatever you blast your ears with.  Give the guy some credit, he really rocked this one and I'm so excited for him!!

Countdown.

I am officially starting my countdown to spring break, which is bound to be quite one of the best experiences of my life!  Not only will I be seeing Brendan for the first time in 9 weeks I will also be in London.  I have seriously been waiting to officially start this mental countdown since the day he left but I figured that it was too many days a way and a bit obsessive.  So here we are...
14 days!

No, don't worry I will not do a daily countdown on the blog, but be excited because most everyone's Spring Breaks are around the same time...Start your own countdown folks, get excited for adventures and relaxing away from school.  Are you going anywhere exciting or staying home with family and friends?  Either way, its a sign that spring is coming sooo sooo soon!

A Little Hint...

We have all heard the draining commercials with moms running their buggys up and down grocery store aisles: Don't drink beverages with sugar.  Sugar found in soda and juice is bad for you.  Well to be honest I would have to agree to an extend.  The occasional soda or glass of juice is fine, go ahead indulge a little, but to drink 4,5,6 however many a day is not healthy...hate to break it to you.

To solve this dilemma many of us college students go to seltzer water (flavored or plain) or simply flavored water.  However, sometimes I don't desire the fizz from seltzer and most flavored waters are also filled with sugar and taste ridiculously artificial.  The solution?

This bottled water can be found at Wegmans or other grocery stores such as Whole Foods and even Starbucks.  It has ZERO sweeteners, ZERO calories and ZERO preservatives.  Best of all, it tastes absolutely amazing and refreshing!  Yet again I find myself sounding like an infomercial for Hint water, oh well, I am crazy about this stuff and I've only tried two flavors (Pomegranate-Tangerine and Mango-Grapefruit).

Of course I do have one concern: How does the water get its flavor if it claims that there is literally nothing to it?

Never Ending.

Do you ever feel like no matter how much work you do it never ends?  That no matter how many hours in the day you dedicate to the 309248093824 assignments required of you, you just cant seem to get them done?  Well I guess I welcome you to college (at sometimes it feels like graduate school!)--I myself am having the most difficult semester to date, but hey, it had to happen sometime!

So here I show a picture of what gets me through (or at least two things I must have):

(1) A coffee mug, my lilly p. coffee cup is my LIFE, though I have others, this one makes me so giddy from the cheerful spring colors.  So even when I am drinking 2,3, and now sometimes 4 cups of coffee in the morning, I know it will be a good day.

(2) A bowl and set of silverware.  Now by this point you're probably thinking that this is the strangest post ever but hey think about it? You can make annies mac and cheese, or having fruit, yogurt & granola, or even just a bunch of yummy food put together!

Its a never ending cycle, until SPRING BREAK.  I will gladly acknowledge that this monumental break is only 16 days away...WE CAN DO IT!

Here Comes the Sun.

A high of 55 and enough sunshine for everyone to enjoy, this to me is a perfect "winter" day.  I place "winter" in quotations because it is the middle of February and will be back to the normal dreary cold/snowy/blustery weather tomorrow.

But lets focus on today and the sunshine.  I decided to break out some spring clothes, which consisted of coral floral earrings and a floral graphic tee from Jcrew.  After a rainy morning run and quick shower I hit to my photography assignment: 50 photos focusing on Aperature.  I tried to follow it, kind of?

i love the ironwork on our benches, its simplistic but beautiful

and i can't go anywhere without my sperry topsiders in the summer!

The boathouse looks so dreary even though its sunny and 50.

this is as far as I went, the walk down was too icy for my boatshoes :/

I love this because its so bright in the background yet the bench is still clear-ish.

and finally, a snowy shadow.  Its not the best photograph in the world but still interesting because no one ever thinks of doing branch shadows, their so interesting!

Sushi & Roses.

This post is dedicated to all the Sushi lovers who are continually trilled when someone else decides that Sushi is their main squeeze (yes I have been listening to Shwayze today).  Last night a few of us girls got together and went to Sakura, a Hibachi restaurant in Canandaigua, NY.  Though the drive there and back was wickedly windy/snowy and not to mention freezing cold, it was most definitely worth it.

I decided that I am going to be thrifty up until my trip to London so I opted for Salad, Soup & Sushi instead of my usual Hibachi Vegetable (which comes with TOFU!).  After probing the waitress many times on the different types of COOKED sushi, I chose the Boston Roll which consists of Poached Shrimp, Avocado, lettuce and Cucumber...  To my surprise it was amazing and I can now say that I love sushi. At the end of the dinner they gave us all Roses for Valentines Day, corny but cute.  I love local restaurants :)

I guess trying new things can really work to your benefit sometimes?

Curse of Strange Weather.

Running in this weather is near impossible.   One minute it is 46 degrees and sunny, the next, 40 with rain and severe winds that require the National Weather Service to issue a warning.  I can't win!  The past few days I have felt severely under the weather and have been unable to work out, but today Alex and I hit the gym.  Tomorrow, the day I am supposed to run, it is back to 25 and snow?!  Sometimes I just HATE upstate NY.

Someone please tell me that Spring is on its way, or at least a week of consistent weather that doesn't make me want to bury myself beneath the covers one minute and run around in a bathing suit the next? I guess all I can do for now is hope and pray for nice weather while downing as much fruit as possible.
