Tummy Ache.

My lovely boyfriend and his best friend (or should I say significant other) turned me onto this video.  Epic Mealtime has become a sensation across America where people attempt to make the craziest meals and consume them.  Strange?  Hm, I wonder what other countries would say about this?  Probably that we are fat obnoxious Americans that don't care anything about our health but would love to become famous by Youtube just so we could say that we did it.  Well I would tend to agree with them, I find this video to be HILARIOUS.

Jake and Brendan kept repeating the "drink a da Chocolate Sauceeee" line to me last night on skype and I had no idea what they were talking about until I actually watched it.  Genius! I would have to go with the deep fried kit-kat bar if anything with, of course, the frosting dipping sauce.  In any case, watch it for yourself and let me know what you think.

Smart, Dumb, Funny, Genius? All I know is that I would need two things before ever attempting this at home (a) ambulance on call, and (b) completed will.

Coca-Cola.

Lets begin with something I must admit to you all, I am a health snob (or at least Womens Health Magazine believes so), which is something you already probably know if you know me at all.  Well, I was thinking about this yesterday when I had this revolutionary epiphany about my life goals and aspirations--yes I know an awful lot to handle for a Friday afternoon.

Coca-Cola, or any soda company, has had bottle evolutions across the span of their existence.  I remember getting my first antique bottle of coca-cola (of course it was empty) and thinking that it was so small.  When I traveled to Europe over spring break I identified another interesting aspect of the Coca-Cola brand.  European Cola (or at least in London), does not have High Fructose Corn Syrup in it.  And if you know anything about food and artificial ingredients, this is a big deal!  Cola in the U.S. always contains this syrup, which is supposedly good for you in small doses, but I mean if you have to have it in such small quantities its obviously not good.

Being the serious investigating wiz that i am, I took a trip to Wegmans to find "SUGAR" Cola, yes that is right, Coca-Cola made with real sugar.  The bottles are sold in skinny glass containers and are located in the "international" aisle amongst a multitude of Mexican Sodas (including Coconut Soda, NEVER try it).

So while it is available, the main product continually being marketed to us contains the "bad stuff" while the real thing is hidden away next to taco mixes and coconut soda, not to mention that it is on the bottom shelf.
Tea and Crumpets.

How could I call myself an elegant young American woman and not find some slight obsession with the Royal Wedding 2011?  Though I have been warned multiple times by a certain man in my life that the Royal Wedding, is simply JUST A WEDDING and that people get married all the time, I will go against my better judgement and make one post.

While I could have focused on the entire ceremony or be absolutely absurd and repeat to you what news station "lip analysts" believed to be whispered by both Kate and Wills, I will turn both my attention, and yours, to her beautiful dress.

Okay, my most sincere apologies go to whoever took these photos, I'm tired and quite honestly don't feel like citing them at the time.  I admit I was not at the wedding and some reporter took these, enough said.

Onto my feelings about this classic and elegant yet quite gorgeous gown.  A spin-off of Grace Kelly some may say, but with a modern twist, I am in love.  I have always been an avid viewer of Say Yes to the Dress and have never seen a sleeved dress look so stunning on a woman.  Sleeves tend to add age while wearing a dress but the designer, Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen, somehow combined "timeless classic" with "chic modern."

Gorgeous.

Help a Bro Out.

If you liked the mix that was posted below and constantly find yourself getting tired of whatever your local radio station is playing, do me a favor and head over to The Amped LIfe.

This is Brendan's up and coming blog (yes he just had to copy my idea of becoming a BlogSTAR), but he will provide you with some great playlists for your weekend extravaganzas. Not to mention, he is a wicked good cook and promised to add some recipes!

Never Ending.

Do you ever feel like no matter how much work you do it never ends?  That no matter how many hours in the day you dedicate to the 309248093824 assignments required of you, you just cant seem to get them done?  Well I guess I welcome you to college (at sometimes it feels like graduate school!)--I myself am having the most difficult semester to date, but hey, it had to happen sometime!

So here I show a picture of what gets me through (or at least two things I must have):

(1) A coffee mug, my lilly p. coffee cup is my LIFE, though I have others, this one makes me so giddy from the cheerful spring colors.  So even when I am drinking 2,3, and now sometimes 4 cups of coffee in the morning, I know it will be a good day.

(2) A bowl and set of silverware.  Now by this point you're probably thinking that this is the strangest post ever but hey think about it? You can make annies mac and cheese, or having fruit, yogurt & granola, or even just a bunch of yummy food put together!

Its a never ending cycle, until SPRING BREAK.  I will gladly acknowledge that this monumental break is only 16 days away...WE CAN DO IT!

Be Mine.

Though the multitude of Valentines Day Blog posts is most likely reaching around a billion, I figured I would join the trend and wish Brendan a Happy V-day from the U.S.A. :)  I was pleasantly surprised when I received a voicemail during my 9am class saying I had flowers to pick up in the student center and fidgeted all morning until I was able to pick them up! We usually have this "rule" of not giving gifts and instead spending time with each other and having a nice dinner but this year since we're apart I insisted that we do something!  So my v-day surprise should be arriving in London via USPS somewhat soon and while he waits, I get to enjoy my beautiful bouquet!

I miss and love you Brendan, See you Soon!

What is Internet?

If the previous post had you even slightly irked you, please watch the video above.  As of 1994 even the TODAY show was confused about what "internet" was! Please look at how far we have come from that & sadly how corrupt we are because of it. What would you do without the internet?  We eat, sleep and breath it and when we don't have it we don't know what to do with ourselves.  Its time to admit: we're addicted.

It seems so strange because though it was 17 years ago, just look how far we have come...
Who would have thought we would have technology such as Iphones, Ipads, Blackberry etc.

Yay for the Iphone being released today by the way.  I would have to say that I may, quite possibly, consider switching from Blackberry to Iphone but that won't happen until next february when my plan is up but hey, its still a possibility.  For all the AT&T customers who were constantly asking, "can you hear me now"...welcome to the real world of "good!"

Facebook Integration.

Please excuse the following rant:
Facebook meet onstar, onstar meet facebook.  Oh hey "Chevrolet" driver why don't you meet facebook IN YOUR CAR.

If it isn't obvious enough already I am a bit enraged at the new addition to OnStar equipped cars.  If you can't understand it from the video (Though it is blatantly obvious),  you can now check your facebook "newsfeed" from your car.  God help us if we can't check it for another 20938402983483 time in the day.  CAN YOU SAY ACCIDENTS?

The video above depicts our society as pathetic! I am not saying that I don't log onto facebook a few (or more) times a day but I would never think of checking it WHILE DRIVING.

Dear facebook, please stop running/ ruining our lives with your nosey ways of finding your way into our lives 24/7.  Professors even have to write on syllabuses "Do not surf Facebook during class."  I know that social networking is the newest thing in our generation but there is a point where enough is enough--for me, this is that point.
